Fishing

Plumas County's 1,000 miles of streams and more than 100 lakes of the Feather River watershed make for a wonderful, varied and famous fishery. Whether you're a fly fisherman or prefer to use lures and bait, you'll find plenty of places to reel them in.

Hiking

03

There is no better way to enjoy the beauty of Plumas County than by exploring it first-hand and on foot. Whether you take a leisurely stroll or a strenuous hike, you'll experience the magnificence of the Sierra Nevada and Cascade ranges along an extensive system of hiking trails.

Horseback Riding

04

Reid Horse & Cattle Co. operates two horse stables in the Sierra; Gold Lake and Graeagle. They offer everything from trail rides and family pack trips to horse programs for children’s camps. The best part is that their horse adventures can be custom-designed for your family or any group.

Mountain Biking

05

Mountain biking is a favorite pursuit for many visitors to Plumas County. The surrounding forest land provides many miles of biking opportunities, including abandoned logging roads, trails and some backcountry roads, offering a good cross-section of terrain and topography.
